About Me

Hi, I’m Christian Skafte Beck Clausen, a Danish Software Engineer (PhD) from the University of Southern Denmark.
I’m passionate about designing and building complex software systems that bring research and real-world applications together, from simulation and optimization frameworks to digital twins and software-in-the-loop testing platforms that enable the digital transition.

I currently work as a Software Engineer (Assistant Professor) at the SDU Center for Energy Informatics, where I architect and implement an agent-based simulation framework and cloud-native platform for simulation-as-a-service aimed at researchers and industry partners. My work involves interdisciplinary research and development through modern software engineering methods and practices.

I’ve contributed to projects spanning software framework design, distributed systems, multi-objective optimization, co-simulation, and software testing frameworks, and I’ve published and presented several peer-reviewed papers along the way at conferences around the world.

I enjoy collaborative development, mentoring, and teaching because it is very rewarding and sharpens my mind.

At my core, I’m curious, driven by value creation and continuous learning, and like connecting with new people who share a passion for technology, creativity, and good ideas.

When I’m AFK, you’ll probably find me traveling the world with my wife and family, tinkering as a hobby car mechanic, strumming my guitar, enjoying a good concert, or petting my two cats.

You’re welcome to reach me by email or any of my social media 😊
